Relax
Once in the gardens of our Lake District Accommodation you start to appreciate how amazing nature is as high rising fells thrill and heighten the senses.
Famed for its variety of walks, The Borrowdale Valley has some of the most stunning fell-walking in the UK. The Lake District hotel is almost halfway between England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike and England's third highest mountain Skiddaw, with England's second highest mountain Helvellyn lying half an hour away. There are of course many other less strenuous walks for those not as adventurous, many of which start from the entrance to the hotel.
Leisure
The Lake District is certainly the most inspiring and exciting destination in the UK for outdoor activities. From rock climbing to ghyll scrambling, horse riding to caving, mountain biking to quad biking land based activities are plentiful.
As you would expect, water based sports such as sailing, wind surfing, canoeing, kayaking, waterskiing, wake boarding, jet skiing and diving are also available for you to enjoy on your Lake District holiday. And for those who don't need to keep their feet firmly on the ground there is ballooning, gliding, paragliding, hang gliding, parachuting and micro lighting is popular.
Whilst staying at The Borrowdale Gates Hotel one of the best ways to experience the scenery of the Lake District is with a luxury tour. Why not speak to KLM Travel on 017687 75337 to book one of their Lakeland Panoramic Tours
